Communities

Look at our communities and how our people, towns and villages are connected to the landscape.

The unique character of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape has been shaped by generations of people that have been living and working here for centuries; maintaining the habitats, utilising the resources, creating the communities and bringing the landscapes to life.

Our communities aren’t museum pieces that we look back on fondly – they are thriving and vibrant towns and villages that are as valued today as they have ever been. The National Landscape works with these communities to advise and offer help in continuing to make the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley the personable, welcoming location that is full of life, adventure and personality.

To find out more about the communities themselves you can click on the community cluster groups below.
